I've not visited Dawlish Warren NNR much recently because of Teignbridge District Council lack of effort in re-opening the hide; I think Devon Wildlife Trust are now responsible so am hopeful of progress. Anyway, the nature down there is still magnificent - highlights of last evening's visit: Cirl Bunting, 100+ Sandwich Tern, 1 Roseate Tern, 1 Sanderling and 5 or so Mediterranean Gull.

I've tried to pass on my enthusiasm for nature and wildlife to my Grandson without forcing him to share my interest. I'm hoping he (and his friend) will remember tonight when, after a shaky start, we saw a family of Beaver (2 adults and this year's kit). If he doesn't I will 😂
