Manga Mashiro is drawn different from the anime too, she looks a lot more cutesy. Everyone else looks identical. Manga Mashiro is adorable but the Anime feels more fitting for the character. "Gorilla in a schoolgirl outfit" I believe she is addressed as at least once.

I enjoy the #DetectivesTheseDaysAreCrazy manga a lot, but the manga translates "Ojisan" (Lit "uncle", used more like "old man") as "Mister". The anime uses "old dude", which is hilarious and fits the intent much better. The manga translation makes Mashiro sound like a little girl and, perhaps worse, respectful.
I cannot recommend the series enough, btw. It's hilarious, well animated, very wacky, and the character dynamics are not what you would expect.
