New Read - Animal Crossing: New Horizons Deserted Island Diary, Volume 7

Another new, silly volume of the Animal Crossing manga. The new volume dropped last week and I finished reading it over the weekend.

The new volume picks up where Volume 6 left off with a lot of custom homes being made via Happy Home Paradise. A lot of silly moments with individual villagers getting custom designed homes that matched their personalities.

Also, the author self inserted herself into one random chapter where she dressed like an Oni, which was fun.

If you are a gag manga fan that also likes Animal Crossing or are an Animal Crossing fan who likes gag manga (or any manga), definitely check it out.

A Venn diagram showing folks who like gag manga and folks who like Animal Crossing would have me sitting in the center, so I am down for more of this. Looking forward to the next volume of this family friendly, silly series.

New Read - Animal Crossing: New Horizons Deserted Island Diary, Volume 6

Once more, we are deep into the incredibly silly Animal Crossing manga, the new volume of which dropped yesterday.

It's so ridiculously silly, I love it! This volume was all about Happy Home Paradise and how our leads entirely changed their personality to match the people looking for vacation homes.

If you are a gag manga fan who likes Animal Crossing or an Animal Crossing fan who likes manga, check it out. This volume had fewer "in jokes" about Animal Crossing than previous volumes, which may make it more accessible. However, it's still a very ANimal Crossing humor heavy series.

Welcome to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Deserted Island Diary (yes, that's the full name of the manga) is an adorable and funny series that's accessible to both adults and kids alike. It is absolutely funnier if you have been playing Animal Crossing, but it's goofy enough at times that with a passing understanding of the game you may enjoy it. Also, my kids have been borrowing this from me volume by volume after I've read it, so it's definitely accessible to younger audiences.
