Desert kites are much in the press these days. I only heard about them last night (well, they were only discovered by the west in the 1920s!)

Already, I have some pretty serious questions to ask about their general interpretation as 'killing traps'.

Such as: if they were for killing, why do many of them show unambiguous remains of cellular enclosures within? I mean, that would make them stock control systems, not hunting traps.
