The search for a man accused of shooting and killing a Harris County deputy in an ambush Tuesday ended more than 50 miles away, when police pulled the injured man out of Galveston Bay.

Bond denied for men facing capital murder charges over Harris County deputy’s death

A public viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2405 Navigation Blvd. A rosary will follow from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy., according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
