You were wrong about Depp v Heard -
That case was, of course, a media circus - I tried to mostly pay it no mind, but what I gleaned at the time was that Johnny Depp was defamed and was due some recompense for that. Everyone I knew, mostly adamant feminists, seemed to agree pretty unanimously on this.

Heard's character assassination in the media was wildly successful, but it turns out it was complete bullshit. This video by Rebecca Watson was the first place I actually saw someone pushing against the commonly accepted narrative. The truth of the case will become widely accepted someday, but at the moment most people still believe the BS. Watson also has a follow up video coming soon about how the astroturfing against Heard was conducted. Watching #deppvheard so much to unpack. What are the lessons? Who is the villain? Is social media poison? Was broadcasting the trial wrong? Were we duped? Are one or both of these people really a lying psychopath? More questions than answers. All of the perils of the modern age (media, legal, celebrity) on full display.

Clearly they both did shitty things and have problems. And I sincerely believe social media has amazing, inspiring, positive aspects and toxic, poison, evil aspects.
