DecaturNatureThese 'jury dudy' scammers called me a few months ago and kept me on the phone longer than I'd like to admit. Based on the story below, it sounds like the authorities are starting to take it seriously; the Sheriff's office did not seem concerned when I reported it.
What I did not know at the time was that the scammers had called many of my neighbors that same day and were apparently camped out at a local shopping center, trying to get us to meet them there.

DeKalb County residents are being targeted by people impersonating local sheriff’s deputies. According to local authorities, the scammers are attempting to con people out of their money by claiming they missed jury duty and threatening them with arrest.
