Computer science and programming has always been
intermixed. So LOTS of times their is conflict between
programmers and computer-science-ers.
I think I am some of both, but they are different.
This LLM stuff is like me as a programmer thinking
the LLM stuff is not rational. And the LLM are coming
from the computer science side.
Ok this is hard to explain. I'm saying that I don't
even get to the computer science of it with current
LLMs. I'm out before that. I DO LIKE the broader
computer science of AI like neural nets for example.
Like to be clear I am NOT endorsing LLM as computer
science, I am just saying I am not considering that
in my "talk to the hand" approach to it. I am
short circuiting out before getting there *
