Dublin has traditionally been sold as Viking, English architecture, Anglo-Irish literature, site of 1916, vibrant cultural scene, but the Gaelic history is omitted 🤔

WORKSHOP Oral History - Historicising from Below: Methods of interviewing and decolonial storytelling
Admission by donation from 5 euros (Proceeds will be donated)
The workshop is open to all genders.
In the first part of the workshop, we will examine dominant media and institutional representations of Palestine.
The second part will focus on the question of how repressed experiences in the context of Palestine can be preserved and passed on, particularly where silence, trauma and taboos play a role.
Through discussions, shared reflections and practical exercises, participants will learn how to conduct interviews and document life stories respectfully.
We view oral history as both a method and a political act; as an opportunity to challenge dominant narratives and reclaim the right to one’s own history.
It addresses questions of responsibility, listening, trust and dealing with sensitive experiences.

It is absolutely no coincidence that this decision is made public on National Sorry Day.

Northern Territory police have confirmed they have declined to charge the two off-duty officers involved in an arrest over the death of 24-year-old Kumanjayi White, a Warlpiri man who lived with cognitive disabilities.
White died on 27 May last year during a confrontation with police in a Coles supermarket. His death sparked nationwide rallies and outrage, with calls for accountability and an independent probe.
The Northern Territory police commissioner, Martin Dole, said the Director of Public Prosecutions and territory police had conducted a fair and thorough investigation over the past 12 months.
“A brief of evidence was submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions for their opinion. Following consideration of all available evidence, including the independent expert report, the DPP formed the view that there was no reasonable prospects of a successful prosecution,” Dole said.
The commissioner acknowledged the ongoing distress, anger and grief of White’s family and the Northern Territory Aboriginal community.
“While the decision not to proceed with charges was made based on the evidence and applicable legal thresholds, we recognise this outcome may be difficult for Kumanjayi White’s family – a man lost his life.”
Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of White’s death.

Measuring the worth of your contribution to liberation struggles based on impact is capitalistic. You won't see the end of it unless you realise the act of measuring worth based on output at all is the product of capitalism, the very rot that still colonises even your psyche. What matters is you did it.
If all you've ever done so far helped some people or even just one person, one life experienced that a better, humane alternative is possible, you've become one of the nodes through which resistance takes shape, liberation comes through, and movement lingers. Movement shouldn't be halted just because one person changes or disappears. Movement dies when nobody resists anymore.
What matters is you did it. No matter how small you think it is. You did it.

„The intersection of language, culture, and identity, particularly within the context of the so-called Philippines.
The influence of Western powers on various aspects of life in the Philippines is undeniable, and the way this has impacted music, lifestyle, and the overall sense of community is profound.
Yet, there’s an opportunity to reshape how we embrace this reality.
The so-called Philippines are heavily bombarded by Western rhetoric and ideas that are forced onto us through our educational systems, the Constitution, Religion/Spiritual belief, the western kind of development, the style of government
