Using the #DeckOfWorlds to generate some prompts for my #hex24 - it's kind of ideal for this purpose, particularly with the fantasy expansion pack. But I used #SaveTheCat beats as my guide, and played with the #DeckOfWorlds every time I got stuck, because worldbuilding is my weakness. I threw out 2/3 of the previous plot bc the new journey didn’t lead there. And now it’s fresh! There’s world-built stuff to explore, the story leads from A to B, and…it makes sense? It’s exciting now??? I was actually excited to get back to the outline EVEN THO (maybe because) I didn’t know how it would end! 2/2

Apparently the package from #DeckOfWorlds I've been expecting isn't going to arrive because chose the PDF only reward from the Kickstarter. I thought I had ordered a physical deck. I need to keep better records.

Had a migraine, but decided today was the day to reorganize the spare desk as a gaming/writing space. #MutantsAndMasterminds books, alongside my #StarTrekAdventures book (and tricorder)—I have the rest as PDFs, because shipping—but all within reach for the three campaigns I’m running. My #StoryEngine and #DeckOfWorlds up top for when I’m coming up with ideas, and—finally—a mug of tea and some jujubes. Also, on the table beside are my journals and a gorgeous piece I bought from Jay Odjick.

Decided to take my #DeckOfWorlds out for a spin and, with #StarTrekAdventures in mind, make an Andorian setting with the Frost and Fable deck.
This totally came together as an adventure prompt. An Andorian mountain town with a spiritual (and athletic) history plagued by an out of control blizzard that might be *alive*? Yes please.

I found the first one great for plot building but my #ttrpg style does not involve game plots so a little work was required. It definitely involves straight up worlds though.
