Like that one devastating weakness of a thermal exhaust port that was used to disable the engineering marvel named The Death Star, it looks like Waymo self-driving vehicles have a similar weakness.

A car that can drive itself anywhere can be disabled by a single door being open, requiring (gasp) human intervention to get it going again.

One has to wonder if there is a disgruntled engineer named Galen working at Waymo.
