Learn a few signs (hello, thank you, please) and use them with Deaf friends or colleagues.
Share resources about hearing loss prevention (safe listening, workplace accommodations).
Advocate for captioning, sign language interpreters, and accessible services in schools, hospitals, and public events.
Donate or volunteer with local Deaf organizations and community groups.
Teach others why sign language is a human right and a vital tool for inclusion.

A #deaf 9 year old is angry after being unable to go to school because her council couldn’t find her a specialist #interpreter. Maisie attended the same school since nursery and has always had a one-to-one sign interpreter.

Maisie, who is temporarily being educated at home in #Broseley, will now have to travel 32km to start at a new deaf resource base school in Wolverhampton.

As popular as podcasts have become, the elephant in the room is how exclusionary they are to not an insignificant swath of the population.
