Listening to the writer's commentary on the blue-ray, and they describe the setup as damaged Enterprise "pulling into a gas station" out in the middle of nowhere.
Yup, that sounds about right. Having car trouble out in the middle of nowhere and pulling into a strange, creepy gas station is the setup to SO many thrillers. ๐
#AllStarTrek And like #Christine, the shattered remains of the station do not appear to be quite "dead" yet. This is one story I wish later #StarTrek series would picked up.
So, there's:
- a giant telepathic stomach floating around the Delta Quadrant, and
- a ghost space station kidnapping organics to use their brains as CPUs in the Alpha Quadrant.
#AllStarTrek The prison chamber where they find Travis looks like a WAY less sanitary version of the #StarTrekVoyager pilot Caretaker's medical examination room.
