Juniper, The Colorado River And Endless Canyons

Description: This tenacious juniper tree grew out of a small crack in the sandstone with enough soil to feed its roots. #Utah #Vacation Day 2 Part 2 at #DeadHorsePointStatePark which is adjacent to #Canyonlands Well worth the $20 admission; first rate facilities, many covered picnic areas adjacent to a rim trail, covered viewing areas at the main overlook and a cute visitors center. We ate our picnic lunch harassed by aggressive chipmunks then stretched out for a snooze on a bench. Afterward, we passed the afternoon just looking out at the dramatic landscape below. The muddy waters of the Colorado River can be seen as well as evaporation ponds at a Potash mine. #Desert #Canyon #GetOutdoors
