A few more passerine birds from my visit to #Bloeidaal and #DeSchammer yesterday. Many, oh so many #Chiffchaffs were out and about, but I've also spotted a #Dunnock, a #ReedBunting and the #Stonechat was a lifer for me

Today was the first time I managed to get some good shots of the northern lapwing. Mallards (wild ducks), their colors are a spectacle to behold, especially in the morning sunlight.
Even the seemingly dull brown hens have a great palette of hues within their plumage.

Close encounter with a #muteswan yesterday in #DeSchammer. First spotted it swimming, but a few minutes later it was resting next to a wooden walk path crossing a pond. Seems to be a young adult male, still having some of its juvenile colors. Hissed at me once when I was carefully walking past. 🪶 #birds #birdphotography #swan #knobbelzwaan

Today's #lifer was the Reed bunting or Rietgors in Dutch. A pair of them were chasing each other through the reeds. I only managed to photograph the male, the female mostly hid in the thicker brush.
