“Keep your mouth shut and stick to it” & “in for a rough ride, hold the line ‘it’s all about housing’” - quotes from #RyanAmato in documents released on #DougFord's #greenbelt scandal
There's also an intriguing reference to Cherrywood, the site owned by TACC’s Silvio #DeGasperis and the largest single chunk of land taken out of the Greenbelt. An attendee at a briefing with the housing minister’s office said the ministry was doing “just what (the) owner asked for.”
Great reporting @thenarwhal 🏅
The Ontario Provincial Police confirmed in a statement that Carrique “did have a professional work-related relationship with members of the Amato family,” but said that wasn’t the reason the service decided to refer the review to the RCMP.
“They should have punted [the review] to the RCMP much sooner,” said Mukherjee... “It raises the question of how seriously they took the early allegations”
Shame on you, the De Gasperis family, particularly Silvio De Gasperis. You're short-sighted, foolish, and think only of your own self.
Shame on you, Michael Rice, owner of the Rice Group. You, too, are ok with all this for a profit.
