I remember 40 years ago today, when I was in second grade, passing the post office and asking my mom why the flags were lowered.

She explained the #Challenger tragedy.

We know why it happened - and nasa instituted many changes intended to improve our safety profile. The entire agency trains on that this day every year.

A few years later, I personally benefitted from the nasa program in memory of teacher Christa McAuliffe.

My 5th grade science teacher built us a dream science lab. It was a real inspiration for me.

In the 1930ies the world leaders could have stopped Fascism & the Holocaust, but did not.
