Happy #DayOfReconciliation, South Africa!
Today is when much of #SouthAfrica officially begins their #December holidays. Unless you work in retail, it's more than likely that you're on leave from today (public schools all closed on Friday, and will only reopen on 15 January).
But among all that excitement, let's not forget the purpose of the day: if there's someone you haven't spoken to in a while, and with whom your last interaction left a bad taste in your mouth, why not reach out today? Say you're sorry -- even if it wasn't your fault. Life's too short for grudges.
In the words of Paul (Romans 12:18), "Do everything possible on your part to live in peace with everybody." And furthermore, in verse 19, "Never take revenge, my friends, but instead let God's anger do it. For the scripture says, 'I will take revenge, I will pay back, says the Lord.'β <https://www.bible.com/bible/416/ROM.12.GNBDC>
