Hello again! 

Today, I studied how ICMP and DNS traffic can be analyzed in Wireshark to detect anomalies, which involves looking for beaconing and DNS tunneling traffic.

Furthermore, I am reviewing the theoretical material of Cybersecurity 101 so that I can begin the practical work required for SEC1. I had the chance to thoroughly study the basics of Active Directory, such as domain controllers, OUs, and Group Policy management, as well as how the Kerberos ticket-granting system operates.

I was able to finish two problem sets in Python, and tomorrow I will complete the remaining Python problems and move on to the next week.

#Day54 of #100HappyDays / #365HappyDays: my officer tonight has one of the strongest Irish accents I’ve ever encountered. I often take the mick and tell him he sounds like Brad Pitt in Snatch.

He gave me someone’s details tonight with the surname ‘Board’. I checked - no trace. Double checked the details, still no trace. It wasn’t until he said “Board, you know, like the flappy thing” that I worked it out.

Made me chuckle when I finally got there.

Somehow when I think of home, I think of my childhood.

There is one band that takes me back to my (pre-)teenage years. The album #PlanetPunk is basically the soundtrack for those years. I would listen to this record all day long.
