I hate to belabour the point… well, actually, no I don’t. But to put some perspective into Senator #DavidPocock defeated motion to set up a Senate Committee to take a look at #GasExports, here is an interesting article from The Point (Australian Institute) that should have been tabled in the Senate along with the motion (can you do that in the Senate? I don’t know) talking about: ‘New analysis shows Japan is emerging as a major player in global gas trading, despite producing no liquefied natural gas of its own – and it’s all thanks to Australia.’

According to the Australian Institute:
'latest polling shows Labor, Coalition, Greens and One Nation voters all support a 25% tax on gas exports.'

I guess that #AlboPM jammed tight against a decision wall that he doesn't seem to want to breach. Will the Libs and Nats pick it up or will they also man the ramparts and defend the indefensible?
