Frantic (1988)

Frantic is an oddity on Harrison Ford’s filmography. Whilst he is best known as Indiana Jones, Han Solo and Jack Ryan and his action thrillers, there was a period in the 80’s when he was something of a dramatic actor with range and critics were noting him.

Peter Hyams – Unternehmen Capricorn (1978)

Der Fake der Mondlandung ist für mich die Mutter aller Verschwörungstheorien in der Ära des Farbfernsehens. Während ich für die Apollo-Missionen zu jung war, um mich zu erinnern, habe ich den Thriller von Peter Hyams nie vergessen. Auch weil Elliott Gould hier den Prototypen eines Investigativjournalisten gibt, der den Schwindel der US-Regierung auffliegen lässt.

1️⃣ It’s a good, semi-serious story with plenty of funny lines. Something the show does very well. It is not, however, quite as good at tugging the heartstrings as #Soap, but this episode comes pretty darn close.

2️⃣ It also gives #JamesNoble a welcome chance to do something more emotional and significant than play throwaway moments as the dim-but-lovable Governor.
