Does anyone remember a video of David Gray’s song “Babylon” featuring just him and his drummer? There were other shots, but I just recall how fantastic the cuts to the drummer were amplifying the rhythm.

All I can find is a bigger band version, with a lot of crowd shots (13 years old; the one I’m thinking of is probably older.)

It’s challenging, as Cohen songs (“Hallelujah” in particular) have been so heavily covered but I still think people manage to bring something new to these renditions – highly recommended.
