Au Guatemala, le Laboratoire national de santé a été frappé par une cyberattaque au mois de mars.
Mais derrière cet incident contenu, une réalité plus profonde émerge. Partout dans le monde, les infrastructures de santé deviennent des cibles privilégiées (Ransomware, phishing, DDoS...).
C'est pourquoi l'opération PowerOFF d'Europol, initiée en juillet 2017 a permis d'identifier plus de 75000 utilisateurs, et 4 arrestations. La cybersécurité devient un enjeu de santé publique à part entière. Une alerte supplémentaire dans une série d’attaques qui redessinent les priorités des États.
