Three good things on Taco Tuesday 😆

1. Spent about an hour out in the sun despite the chill wind this morning picking dandelions for a new batch of salve. We used it the most this past year, so time for a refresh. Not to worry, what I picked barely made a dent. There's still more than a gracious sufficiency out there for the bees;
2) Got our Covid boosters last week. Our immune systems are all caught up; and...
3) Pansies! Partner came home from the Easter farmer's market with two small flats of my favorite color. Hard to be gloomy while gazing at their little smiling faces. 😀

“Doing My Best With What I Have”

I saw this dandelion growing from the sidewalk of a gas station. The half of a peanut shell was nested between the flowers, and a discarded cigarette butt lied next to it.

I thought it made a good composition, but it also felt bittersweet to me. Like the dandelion would just bear whatever refuse was thrown on it while living out its short life. It’s the kind of thing most people walk past without thinking much of it, and some don’t notice at all.

I like dandelions.
