My wife and I had the best Friday night in recent memory watching #DanaGould perform at the Comedy Vault in Batavia, Illinois. He noticed my shirt from the stage and asked my favorite Universal horror movie. I told him #CreaturefromtheBlackLagoon. He then went into a series of jokes about #BrideofFrankenstein. It was awesome. I’ve enjoyed his humor since first watching his stand-up specials back in the ‘90s. These days he’s a master of his craft. I’ve met Dana in person twice now and he’s the warmest, coolest person—a fellow Monster Kid through and through. (I failed to tell him that my new horror book, releasing later this month, features a patchwork girl very much like the Bride. Oh well.) He also revealed that he spent the afternoon with #Svengoolie and showed us the photos on his phone to prove it!
