Do you work on code? Do you code with other people? Your main branch is a commons. If the build for main is broken, it's up to everyone to fix it. It doesn't matter who broke it. Save that discussion for the post mortem so you can figure out how they were able to break it, so you can fix it, so it doesn't happen again.

And celebrate whoever fixed it, because they performed a service to the community. Thank you for fixing the build for everyone!

And then celebrate that whoever broke it found a loophole, because loopholes are cool. Thank you for finding a weakness in the system!

And celebrate solving the mystery and closing the loophole, because solving mysteries with friends is awesome, and now your system is more resilient.

Our food pantry operations manager called me this morning and said she received a credible threat from a patron who had just been suspended for abusive behavior.

Legally there’s nothing we can do, but I called the PD to have an officer meet with us about the situation. I’d much rather do this sooner rather than after an attack.
