The #DalitPanthers were founded on #ThisDayInHistory in 1972 in #Mumbai, India. Based on the American #BlackPantherParty, they formed to combat the #caste system & advocate for #Dalit ('#Untouchable') equality. They shared, too, the Black Panthers' #socialist & #feminist agenda.
