Stumbled on this 2-module #NoInput #eurorack patch tonight. The #DaisySynth (patch.Init()) is running standard reverb code straight from its examples repo, so this is really just Wasp + reverb feedback. At these knobs it stabilized quickly on a simple metallic tone, but twiddling anything got it interesting fast. I was really impressed that it stayed coherent and interesting even at lower Wasp resonances, or adding even something usually subtle like the Doepfer Waveshaper into the loop.
Takumi Ogata just published this #daisysynth patch for #plugdata and its Heavy compiler to build a hardware granular
synthesizer.
I’ve been wanting to build a live looping instrument that does this.
But I’ve also been thinking of granularizing a wavetable in case that project was going to be simple enough that I’d just finish it.
Gonna try to do the easy, simple thing first, like I tell my students.
