Podcast · [object Object] · We talk about everything, monsters, cats, superheroes, music, dinosaurs, and more! These are smallish, bite-sized episodes that celebrate whatever strikes the humble RX-7's fancy at any given time. We try to get content up daily!
In which X7 reviews the classic monster movie from 1961, Gorgo! This is a good movie, but we can't really call it one of the best giant monster movies of all time. Perhaps X7 was too old when he saw it for the first time. There is a lot to like here, though, and it is worth watching every five years or so. What do you all think?
In which X7 looks at the only Gamera movie that does not feature a small child, War of the Monsters, AKA Gamera vs. Barugon (大怪獣決闘 ガメラ対バルゴン, Daikaijū kettō: Gamera tai Barugon, lit. 'Great Monster Duel: Gamera vs. Barugon'). The AIP-TV version is mercifully twelve minutes shorter, but that is damning it with faint praise. The creatures are cool and all, but the movie moves at a glacial pace. Fortunately, the next movies start to improve quite a bit!
