So true. I'm partial to the Enlightenment but Jesus also made the point that human life shouldn't just be ruled by the law of the jungle. What the administration argues for, that those with more force should be able to exert their will. That has really been US foreign policy under a cloak of democracy promotion PR since WW2. Trump is just more forthright about it.

#DaPope is at least a vocal symbol that lots of people think that attitude is abhorrent.
