Last week, we visited Genova, here in Italy. While tuning into the local frequency 📻 with my portable Quansheng UV-K5, I managed to make contact with Fabio #F5VKV from France! It still amazes me every time I make a cross-border contact with just a handheld. 🌍

wow, just found out that in #Australia they have #UHF #CB. i've watched videoes on youtube and people are very active on the radio there. i wish there is a similar service here in #Italy where people are very active on the radio and you can just talk to anyone. now, when i get a chance to visit there in the future, first thing i'll buy after ariving is a UHB CB Radio. :-)

I am planning to buy a new budget friendly radio. just getting opinion if Quansheng UVK6 pro 2024 is good and can be operated by #Blind people like me. i saw on videos that it speaks some of the menu. i can deal with some #accessibility issues, i just need to know if the basic controls can be used with this radio.

after some time, i figured out that #DVSwitch has a WT mode and the full node mode which means i do not need to host my node to a VPS to connect to other nodes. I do not have a radio set up for now so I will be using just my phone to talk. Awsome! time to make friends on the air!
