A few months ago employees of a Russian crypto money laundry + fraud factory like DWF Labs wouldn’t have felt safe setting foot in the US. Now those same Russians are planning to open an office in New York City and plug directly into the financial system so they can work on the new Trump / Witkoff family stablecoin #USD1.
I’ve seen a lot of ominous things in a few years of watching crypto but seeing the guy who was in charge of Huobi Russia while it was helping Russian banks avoid sanctions to fund the invasion of Ukraine setting up shop on Wall St. is among the darkest.
It cannot be overstated the extent to which not only is Trump going full bore on crypto, he's partnering up with the worst people in the crypto industry (which is no mean feat).
