Got a thinner set of needle nose #pliers with serrated edges to yoink out plastic pins in steering wheel that hold the shifters - all the others I had were too wide by about 2mm.
Had to fork out £13 Earth Pounds to Admiral (about £5 was admin fee) to declare these for #insurance purposes - insurers do check for #mods like these, their staff monitor social media as do more observant Police officers from the Roads Policing Unit should they pull you over!
(I sometimes have to use car parks that is popular with "boy racer" types and the old bill keep an eye on these)

I keep seeing this #pictogram (top right hand corner, stick man holding a #spanner and wearing a #rosette ) on parts of #VW cars (it was also on the #DSG gearbox of my Polo). I know it means "qualified/trained #mechanic only should work on this assembly and the one in my picture is a specification of oil and refrigerant for the airco),
I've not found any sources that #mechanics in Germany get #rosettes on completing their training, and in UK a rosette is either associated with political party membership or you might get one if you won some kind of #sports event (or a beauty contest) so I'm curious as to why its used..
The #DSG #oil came from here (from the bountiful oilfields of #Rotherham 😁 )
Got a #DSG oil change done this week (it wasn't clear if the #GolfGTI had ever had this done, I only had partial service history).
My usual mechanic didn't have the kit to do it, but a work colleague knew a lad (her grand daughters partner) who could - he turned up in this modified MK5 GTI (also DSG6) to collect my car and take it to his workshop (just up the road from where I work), so I knew he would do a good job 😁
Apparently its tuned to about 480PS (certainly sounded like it)
