Had false start as first PDM (OBD2 dongle) was goosed, but RL were responsive, sent new one next day (could even speak to real humans on telephone to sort things out!)

Used smol laptop on passenger seat (propped up on box + multiple Cecilia Aherne novels borrowed from book swap in office next door) to apply maps with Ring smartcharger set for constant 13,8V supply to keep battery charged.

Was a bit nerve wracking as you get whole list of gnarly errors on the dashboard but they clear off afterwards.

Did get DSG error codes initially but again Racingline sent new DSG map next day, applied this and so far so good (car now has similar power level to entry level GolfR ) #cars #tuning

Got a #DSG oil change done this week (it wasn't clear if the #GolfGTI had ever had this done, I only had partial service history).

My usual mechanic didn't have the kit to do it, but a work colleague knew a lad (her grand daughters partner) who could - he turned up in this modified MK5 GTI (also DSG6) to collect my car and take it to his workshop (just up the road from where I work), so I knew he would do a good job 😁

Apparently its tuned to about 480PS (certainly sounded like it)
