At least I caught it *before* whole thread gave way and accumulator gets yeeted at 60 bar into the oil pan (which bulges it out, causes the mechatronic to dump out some of the oil and leaves the car totally without drive and more parts needing replacement)
If you drive any #VW #Audi #Seat #Skoda with this #DQ200 / #0AM 'box its worth budgeting for the cost of the work (it /can/ be a DIY job if you have right tools / workspace and can 100% ensure there is 0 pressure in the system before repair)
Got car back last Friday - one (1) mechatronic pressure accumulator/housing replaced - VW original is steel threaded into just 3mm thick alu and constantly charged to 40-60 bar, after a while the housing cracks and the system loses pressure - common fault on #DSG #DQ200 'box. Some clever folk in #Türkiye make a replacement that a Desi uncle in #Purfleet distributes to mechanics.
Whole job (more than my DIY skills and tools could deal with) cost near £700 but I'm back on the road..
Do not want : #DSG 'box #DQ200 acting up when visiting relatives at the weekend, random loss of drive/clutch slipping, other unwanted behaviour. Scanned the OBD2 and found multiple gearbox/mechatronic related codes
Car is now at independent #VW specialist garage awaiting repair (originally only available for 2024-02-13 but they said might be able to do earlier, I can't drive it anyway at the moment)
As my dad would have said - #bladibarsket (Malaysian English curse word)
