(This might, and I do mean *might*, even tempt me to go to the West Side.)

Los Angeles, your three new subway stations — Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega — open May 8, 2026, connecting Beverly Hills and historic mid-Wilshire directly to downtown via traffic-free underground rail."

Wires on Green, switches on Red filled riders with a sense of dread
Earlier today, the MBTA reported delays on the D Line, complete with the dreaded trolleys standing by at stations, because of overhead power lines at Newton Center suddenly needing emergency repairs. On the Red line, riders had to get on buses to get between Braintree and Quincy Adams due to a switch problem at Braintree that also forced the dreaded standing by at stations, until the T realized, no, was time to roll those buses. The T reports both lines are back to normal.
Universal HubAre the Chiefs signaling with all of their free agency signings that the D-Line will be a priority in the draft? Jerry Tillery and Charles Omenihu are back, but the line is still a place that needs some support - with a deep pool of talent - is that where the Chiefs are going?

LA Metro Finishes 5 Years of Tunneling for D Line Subway Extension Project - Railway Track and Structures
LA Metro has finished five years of tunneling. The Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) added nine additional miles to the D Line.
Railway Track and StructuresNone too shabby 14 minutes to MoA Station from 60th and Portland. I could see a less timorous operator shaving 2-3 minutes from that.
