DoomsdaysCWSo, years ago, we used to get pretty much all of our soapmaking supplies from the now-defunct #SnowdriftFarm in Arizona. They had a ton of recipes for home-made foot scrubs, pest-repellents, lip balm, hand-santizer, salves and butters, and, of course, soap! And thanks to the @internetarchive , those recipes have been preserved!
The one caveat I would mention (in addition to handling lye properly), is that some essential oils can cause skin irritation (citrus, cinnamon leaf, tea tree, cedar, etc.), so be cautious about using too much of those. Do your own research, especially if making products for other people.
