My birthday present to myself was a seafood broiling pot. This pot is not primarily for broiling seafood, it is actually for scalding birds.
We processed a turkey, two roosters, and a laying hen who had gained a taste for eggs today and it took the two of us less than 2 hours for all of them. I beat my personal record at processing and had my bird dispatched, scalded, plucked in the plucker, cleaned, washed, bagged, tagged, and in the freezer within 10 minutes.
That turkey is currently slow roasting in the oven while we eat ramen with the eggs we've raised. I'm making stock from the legs and tanning a rabbit pelt outside. We planted seeds yesterday after preparing the soil with rabbit manure and the broadfork.
