A great shave can restore morale.

And an exceptional soap produces an exceptional result [provided water is soft, a good razor with appropriate blade is skillfully used; some restrictions and caveats may apply]. I just got this Donkeybase soap by Grooming Dept yesterday. That is a great formula, and I love this fragrance: "Bourbon whiskey, Dark Rose, Dark Fruits, Dark Woods."

It's big news because Gillette has been moving briskly away from DE razors for over 30 years now, steadily adding more and more blades to their cartridge razors. Problem is the cartridge razors cut in a way that gives many people ingrown hairs and skin irritation. This is why DE having has been growing steadily without any Gillette involvement apart from the fact they still make Gillette DE blades for some markets.
So this launch says Gillette has noticed the big growth in safety razor shaving. Good news is this is an excellent price and resembles the Edwin Jagger DE89 in many ways. Bad news for Gillette is there are many excellent and well established DE razor manufacturers already. DE razor shavers are very spoilt for choice already.
