#deltachat folks, would a feature that allows User to text with more than one specific Recipients without having to create a Group first (and having to choose a name, configure recipients) be supported by the #chatmail protocol in theory? I‘ve come to love that possibilty in Mattermost and formally Slack. It’s the killer feature to break complicated hierarchies and bring together people in an ad-hoc and Director way.

Fun funding fact: If we had 10 times more money to develop #deltachat , the #chatmail relay network and the #webxdc secure mini app ecosystem, we would still have ten times less than what signal has (let alone Whatsapp or telegram). But we don't want to increase nudging people for donations, as we have many users who don't even have a legal way to send us money, let alone the means. It is a special kind of reward that delta works where most if not all other messengers fail to work for users.

Не понимаю истерии вокруг Delta Chat. Он же всё ещё выполняет свои задачи. У меня вот жена в РФ поехала, а там нихуя, кроме Макса и моего сервера Дельты не работает. Макс нерукопожатен, так что выбор очевиден.

Т.е. если я, допустим, проебал (допустим, единственный) девайс с аккаунтом #DeltaChat, то знание логина/пароля меня уже не спасет, а надо вместо этого где-то бережно хранить резервную копию всей базы? 😨

I know #Signal is very popular, but at least for me, using NVDA, the desktop client is far less screen reader friendly than the mobile clients. The mobile clients work far better for me, but I honestly don't use my phone for much these days outside of being a media player that can make phone calls, so, as of right now, I'd recommend Delta Chat instead https://delta.chat/en/ #DeltaChat
