The sudden departure comes just a day after #JohnPhelan addressed a crowd of sailors & industry professionals at the #Navy’s annual conference in DC, & spoke with reporters about his agenda.

Phelan’s departure also comes after #Defense Secy #PeteHegseth fired the #Army’s top officer, Gen #RandyGeorge. #Hegseth also fired several top generals, admirals & other defense leaders since taking office last year. As with those other firings, Pentagon ofcls did not offer a reason for Phelan’s departure.
