Today’s #POTA activations were #DE0253 Teetzpark together with trails #DE0604 and #DE0629 and later on #DE0136 Hamburger Stadtpark.
The Stadtpark wasn’t as crowded as I feared, I found a nice place on the side to set up without running into any issues.
It was the first time I used my new ground spike for the vertical antenna and also the first time I mounted the head unit with a clamp to my logging clipboard for better ergonomics.

Today was #POTA time again. First I visited @asciijungle in #DE0136 (Hamburger Stadtpark). After that I started my own casual evening activation of a local 3-fer (Thörls Park #DE0261 E1 Trail #DE0558 E9 Trail #DE0622) in sunny and nice weather conditions. 20°C feels wrong for early April, though. #climatechange

Today's #POTA was #DE0136 (new naming scheme) Hamburger Stadtpark. Park was full with people heaving a BBQ, so I opted for a nice place a bit off center. TRX: TX-500 with PA500 amplifier. I used my rainbow colored radials on the 1/4 wave vertical antenna. Had a nice chat for over an hour about #amateurradio with people passing by. In the end not that many QSOs due to the ongoing contest. But still a nice activation.

@DK4HAA I like your caution cones at the ends of your radials. I have some of those for playing in our backyard, but I didn’t think to use them for radio. I wonder if there is a way to make a cone that doubles as a stackable winder for each radial. I’ve been winding my radials all together, but then having to untangle them.
@DK4HAA @asciijungle yep, way too hot. We had 26°C in Bavaria 🥵
