Good morning, friends. 🌸💮🌼
22 September 2025
We were supposed to walk this morning, but I just wasn’t feeling it. I did something yesterday, after all—and it’s unreasonable to expect productivity two days in a row. 😂
Instead of walking, I wandered out back to tend the bird feeders and freshen the birdbath. Then I grabbed some coffee and my camera, returned to the yard, and settled in to sip and watch the trees wave in the breeze. I just sat and stared—not with my mouth open, mind you. That would be too... what’s the word... too much like being in a stupor. I have to draw a line somewhere. Sitting outside with a drooling open mouth is a bridge too far. But I was in a comfortable daze. 😳
Eventually, I reached down and turned on the camera. There’s a faint motor sound when it boots up—a subtle hum, a whisper of readiness. It’s not entirely unlike powering up a Proton Pack. No need to back away; I’ve no intention of crossing the streams. Unlike the Ghostbusters, my camera captures the spirits of birds and stores them safely in an attached memory device. No ghost trap required. 👻
Today is the autumn equinox—the first official day of fall. It won’t arrive until 2:19 PM this afternoon, but close enough. Fall is here. And winter is coming. 🧟
