Deimos DAQ Rev 7 is out for fabrication!
This version adds an insulation displacement cable header breakout for a panel mount dsub-25 connector, 6 more channels (4 GPIO output, 2 input), layout improvements to reduce radiated emissions, a more robust overvoltage protection system, pluggable terminal blocks to replace the lever-wire connectors, and external indicator LEDs fed to the enclosure via flexible light pipes.
Firmware updates will include non-aliasing timer interrupts, an un-filtered regime for high reporting rates, and improved packet validation.
Software updates since the last version have been massive: a new python interface, control program background operation (using <5% of a CPU!), improved logging and error handling, live reconnection logic, support for complex networks with multiple interfaces and subnets, graphviz rendering of the calc graph and state machines, and many new data dispatcher and realtime calc implementations.
