Si no lo conoces todavía basta con que sepas que es un fork DXVK orientado a dar soporte a Direct3D 7 sobre Vulkan. Además con esta nueva release se añade, de forma experimental, soporte para Direct3D 6.

Gracias a proyectos como este se consiguen hacer funcionar juegos de hace décadas sobre la API gráfica más moderna y actual que hay para Linux, es decir, Vulkan.

Con vk3d podemos jugar a juegos que usan Direct3d 12 en Linux. Además tenemos DXVK que permite traducir Direct3D 8, 9, 10 y 11 a Vulkan.

Sin embargo un desarrollador ha debido pensar que no es suficiente y ha hecho un fork de DXVK para poder ejecutar Direct3D 7.

Para conseguirlo lo que hace es una traducción de Direct3D 7 a 9 y el backend de DXVK se encarga ya de obtener el código final en Vulkan.
