On Saturday I went to the lecture: "Gaelic in Edinburgh: History and demography": Although it is often thought that Gaelic has little connection with Edinburgh, the language has had a presence here for more than a thousand years.

It was so cool to go in and being asked "A bheil Gàidhlig agad?", and speaking my Gàidhlig briste 😬

It was organized by Ionad Gàidhlig Dhùn Èideann, a community initiative to establish a Gaelic Hub in Edinburgh

The Royal Mile runs between two significant locations in the royal history of Scotland: Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The name derives from it being the traditional processional route of monarchs, with a total length of approximately one Scots mile, a now obsolete measurement measuring 1.81km and definitely worth a visit!

Edinburg contains many gems and whether being a Christian or not, the flair of churches and relicts always has a certain attraction. Around the Scottish Episcopal Church at Prince Street I found this Celtic cross reminding on past times where these symbols were more frequent, hailing from the ancient ones and times hundreds of years ago.
