I started getting into #cymatics a while ago. It's a lovely area to explore because there are so many different things to play around with. Everything from sound, video to electronics, programming, diy lamps etc.

SO my project (in progress)... has a real-time sound visualization with cymatic images. It uses a bank of images that were created on a simulated 434 mm plate across a 4-octave range. Features include: Smooth (very subtle) spiral motion, Asymptotic deceleration, Tempo-synced note motion & fade, Real-time pitch mapping, Toggle between B&W and chakra-based color overlay.

Hans Jenny wrote the book "Cymatics, A Study of Wave Phenomena and Vibration" (two volumes). He was a physician and died in 1972, the year I was born.

This ancient temple in India has stunning ceiling carvings that look like parts of advanced machines, even though they were made over 700 years ago. Some say these ceilings could rotate, and the perfectly shaped pillars hint at the use of ancient tools like lathe machines.

I had the HUGE pleasure and privlige of playing to Dame Evelyn Glennie last weekend. I was playing a solo cello with cymatics. She played in a piece after me. The event was signed in BSL. After I said to my friend - did you notice she played with no shoes on? and he said no, why? (he didn't know she is deaf & feels the music that way) He was absoluetely blown away. She is a stunning artist & was so kind and liked my piece!

It was a magical evening!
