Took a big spill off the longtail #cargobike this evening with the 5yo on the back. I swerved to avoid a fast food delivery driver parked in the #CycleLane, and went straight into the plastic wands marking the lane.
Bike spun 180 and went over. We went through another couple of wands, the kid got a bad scrape on his hand and a real fright, I got a welt bigger than a walnut on my thigh from one of the studs holding the wands in place, and a big fright too.

There's me thinking, moving jobs to a shorter commute which has mostly cycling lanes would be safer. But no, reckless abusive drivers still find a way to try to kill me. I'm getting sick and tired of it. I don't need the added stress of getting into an argument when all I want to do is get to and from work. I don't want to end up yet another RSA statistic. Most of the local councillors, with the exception of one don't seem to give a b*llox either. #CyclingDublin
