Platform: Steam (weirdly not browser based)
Cost: Free to play
Time played: 20 hours
Completion reached: act 1 started, tutorial finished
Pros:
- Good incidental writing
- Wide array of player customisation from the start of the game (even if a lot of it is unaffordable at first)
- Interesting mechanics tied to clothing
Cons:
- A luck based event system is butts when you have only one event you want to see from the pool
- The method of translating the social currencies into one another needs better tutorializing
- The purpose of the various social currencies is very unclear from their name and descriptions
- Leaning on the grimdark flavour of cyberpunk to justify a system of spiralling mental health issues, but also wants the mental health issues to have a bit of a positive effect a skilled player could leverage undermines the grimdark aspect.
An example of fashion based equipment, blind combat mechanics, private eye gameplay, being a slut as a mechanic, pimp minigame, killer prose writing
And we learned you can quantify and cash in your understanding of a part of town.
