For those in the SF Bay Area folks, Bat was one of the deejays behind 1980s/1990s' legendary SF/Oakland/etc. gothdustrial club House of Usher, and ran the CyberDen BBS.

For those not local, he also did the CyberPit Internet Kiosks at Lollapalooza circa 1993 back when that sort of tech was still a novelty. He's also done so much more in the realms of artistic creativity and shares refined taste for musically macabre aesthetic sensibilities to the sorts of audiences who appreciate such things.
